News that nine jobs will be lost in Castleisland following the closure of the Heineken depot has been described as devastating. Heineken Western Beverages Ltd, owned by Heineken, told staff that the depot will close at the end of February. Heineken cited the slowdown of the rural pub industry as one of the main causes.
