Six people hospitalised following road collisions in South Kerry

Six people have been hospitalised following road collisions in South Kerry.

Following a collision in Curraheen, Glenbeigh at 6.15pm yesterday evening five people were taken to University Hospital Kerry – four females occupants of one car involved and one from the other vehicle.

Gardaí in Killarney said their injuries are believed to be serious.



Meanwhile a women believed to be in her sixties was taken to Cork University Hospital yesterday afternoon following a collision in Valentia.

A vehicle collided with the woman at Reenglass at aproximately 2.45pm yesterday afternoon.

It’s not clear whether the woman was a cyclist or a pedistrian.

The woman was airlifted to Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí said she remained in a critical condition in intensive care this morning.

Her current condition is not known.
