Donal Tobin of Siptu says it’s unacceptable that Killarney Golf and Fishing Club has imposed reductions in conditions of employment for its 41 staff. He says the failure to pay two wage increases dating back to 2003 has led to a threat of strike action which has been deferred until Saturday. Both sides in the dispute will meet at the Labour Relations Commission tomorrow. Siptu has reached agreement with other golf clubs in the county in relation to pay but Donal Tobin says Killarney Golf and Fishing Club have imposed unreasonable changes to work practices.
