Several responses to renewed appeal on south Kerry abduction

A number of people have contacted Gardaí after they renewed their appeal about the abduction of a man from south Kerry 25 years ago. Charles Brooke Picard Charles Brooke Pickard was bundled into his van and driven away from White Strand, Castlecove by a number of males in April 1991; the van was later recovered, but he hasn’t been seen since. Gardaí and Crimestoppers renewed their appeal for information, and it featured on Crimecall on RTE television last night. Charles Brooke Pickard, a native of Leeds, had lived in Castlecove in south Kerry since 1983 with his wife Penny and children. His abduction from White Strand on the 26th of April 1991 featured on Crimecall on television last night, in order to renew the appeal for witnesses. Superintendent Flor Murphy says they received a number of calls last night and this morning, and this information will be fully investigated. He says Gardaí are continuing their appeal, as they believe there are people with information about the incident and location of Charles Brooke Pickard’s remains. [audio_player src=””]
