10 helicopters and a military plane are helping to search an area in the French Alps where a plane, carrying 150 people, came down. The Germanwings aircraft crashed en route from Barcelona to Dusseldorf this morning. 2 pilots and 4 cabin crew were onboard along with 144 passengers, including two babies. 16 were children from the same school in Germany. The French interior minister says the violence of the crash leaves little hope for survivors – but he hasn’t ruled it out. Despite earlier reports, aviation authorities now say no distress signal was issued.
