The search has begun for this year’s Rose of Tralee. Host Daithí Ó Sé and reigning Rose Elysha Brennan have announced details of the festival which takes place over seven days from August 17th to 23rd. 68 Roses will travel to Tralee this year and there will be an extra night of live TV interviews on RTÉ. An hour-long documentary, tracing the Roses’ journey to Tralee, will be screened on August 21st. 22-year-old Elysha, who represented Meath in 2015 and was the first Irish winner in seven years, begins a month-long tour of the country to encourage women aged between 18 and 27 to enter the competition.
