Schools in Kerry are to receive funding of almost a million euro for computer equipment.

It’s to go to 157 schools in the county, and will be spent on desktop PCs, laptops, tablets and other devices.

They can also buy projectors and software applications to support learning.

Schools built before 2014 will receive the State grant.

Junior Minister Brendan Griffin and Senator Paul Coghlan are welcoming the announcement.
