Rossbeigh locals concerned famous shipwreck could be lost forever

Locals in Rossbeigh are concerned that a historic shipwreck will be lost forever if it is not secured ahead of winter storms.

The wreck of the Sunbeam Schooner has been at the south Kerry beach since 1903.

Kerry County Council engineers are to visit the schooner, which has been stripped back and moved around 300 metres by severe weather.

The cost of saving the schooner was deemed too expensive.
