The road has now reopened following a fatal road crash between Rathkeale and Newcastle West. A Nigerian woman in her 30s died after the car she was driving crashed into the signage at Applegreen Service Station at Coolanoran on the N20 around 11.30 last night. She was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s understood she was travelling to Tralee with her family where they live when the crash occurred. The passengers in the car a man in his mid 40s and two children aged 14 and 11 were taken to University Hospital Limerick with injuries described as non-life threatening. A post mortem on the woman’s body is due to take place at UHL later. Gardaí in Newcastle West are appealling for any witnesses to the crash at Coolanoran to contact them on 069 20650.
