The issue of works at Kilmoyley Graveyard to deal with ongoing flooding was likened “a peace agreement in Syria” at the Tralee Municipal District monthly meeting yesterday. Fine Gael Cllr Jim Finucane made the comparison, saying that the issue was dragging on and on. Tralee Municipal District’s monthly meeting heard residents in the Kilmoyley area are losing patience as flooding issues continue at the graveyard. Sinn Féin Cllr Toireasa Ferris said local community groups had come up with proposals – and that at this stage she just wanted to see funding allocated so that work could progress. Fianna Fáil councillor Norma Foley said it was a “hugely emotive issue”.
