Renua’s Corcoran says health service shouldn’t be treated as political football

The Renua Ireland candidate for Kerry, Donal Corcoran is calling for the health system to be removed permanently from electoral and political cycles. Donal Corcoran Head and Shoulders Mr Corcoran states that the health of our citizens is far too important to be kicked around as an election football with one side auctioning more system changes than the other. He argues that Ireland needs a 20 year vision for health not a five year one. He says this can be achieved through consultation between front-line staff, patient groups, the HSE, politicians from all sides and the Department of Health.
