A councillor has renewed the call for public toilet to be reinstated at the Courthouse in Killarney. Kerry County Council told Cllr Maura Healy-Rae the temporary toilets at Fair Hill were removed as they were beyond repair and were a safety hazard to the public. It said there are public toilets at the Ha Ha, New Street car-park, High Street car-park and the Town Park. The council says this is adequate for the town and extra signage directing people to the toilets has been erected. The Courts Service told the local authority there are public toilet facilities available in the court house building and that adequate signage will be put in place.
