Psychological report on Kerry teenager charged with a string of burglaries due next week

Tralee District Court has been told a psychological report on a teenager charged with a string of burglaries will be ready by next week. The 14 year old boy who can’t be named appeared at Tralee District Court last week, charged with five counts of burglary in locations in Killarney and Castlegregory, and one count of assault. Tralee Courthouse The alleged incidents took place between July and August this year. The boy, who has been in the intermittent care of the HSE for the past ‘couple of years’ was remanded in the care of Oberstown Young Offender’s Centre. He reappeared at Tralee District earlier this week, where the court was told a psychological assessment should be ready by the 3rd of September. The teenager was remanded in the continuing care of Oberstown Young Offender’s Centre, to appear before Tralee District Court next Wednesday.
