Procter and Gamble has yet to pay out the 12,000 euro cost of the clean up of baby wipes found on a number of Kerry beaches last summer. The wipes were washed up all around the coast 12 months ago when a container lost its cargo. According to environmental awareness officer with Kerry county council Michael O Coileain, they could have threatened the blue flag status of a number of beaches. The company agreed to cover the costs of the clean up. However, a year later there is no sign of the cheque coming forward. Michael O`Coileain says it’s time for the company to make good on their promise.
