Prison officer dies from injuries following Belfast bomb blast

The Taoiseach is leading tributes to a prison officer who has died -11 days after he was injured in a bomb attack in Belfast. psni-logo 52 year -old Adrian Ismay of Hillsborough Drive, Belfast suffered injuries after a device exploded under his van in east Belfast on March 4th. The father of three died in hospital this morning. Mr. Ismay worked with the North’s Prison Service for over 28 years. Speaking from Washington, the Taoiseach Enda Kenny says his thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Ismsay’s family for their loss and trauma. The Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan has described the attack as a callous and cowardly one on the entire community.
