President says Casement’s humanitarianism still resonates

Thousands of people from all over the world gathered on Banna Strand today for the only State Ceremony outside of Dublin commemorating the 1916 Rising. Banna 1916 commemorations JOS The event marked 100 years to the day since Sir Roger Casement, Robert Monteith and Daniel Bailey landed on the beach in an attempt to bring arms to the volunteers.
