The worsening postal strike has been described today as a ‘major headache and inconvenience’ for firms in the county. According to Peter Maguire of Tralee Chamber of Commerce, the fact that companies in Kerry are unable to make or receive payments from several destinations, is causing cash flow problems.In some cases, firms are unable to make payments on time, and are loosing out on credit terms. Ultimately, Mr. Maguire believes that some companies may face legal penalties over failure to meet payment deadlines. He says that as the strike at An Post continues, companies in Kerry will face mounting losses.
