Parts of Kerry have among the highest levels of radon in the country

That’s the message from the Environmental Protection Agency on European Radon Day – aimed at highlighting the dangers of this radioactive gas. This week, the EPA’s Office of Radiological Protection is encouraging homeowners to apply for a home-testing kit. Parts of Kerry have among the highest levels of radon in the country. These include dwellings in Tralee, Scartaglin, Cordal, and parts of Castleisland.
