Renting the four Intreo centres in Kerry costs over €300,000 per year.
The figures were released following a parliamentary question by Independent TD for Galway West Catherine Connolly.
Intreo centres were launched in October 2012 and have been gradually rolled out around the country since.
It works as a single point of contact for all employment and income supports and is designed to provide a more streamlined approach for the public.
Minister for State at Office of Public Works (OPW) Sean Canney told Deputy Catherine Connolly that the Department of Social Protection runs the Intreo service from premises leased by the Commissioners of Public Works.
In total the annual rent cost is over 7.8 million euro.
Here in Kerry the leases total over €306,000.
The highest rent is the Tralee office of €145,000, followed by over €81,000 in Listowel and just above €61,000 in Killarney.
€19,000 is the cost of renting the premises for the Kenmare Intreo office.
