Over 80 drivers caught in Kerry in county-wide mobile phone blitz

Over 80 drivers around the county were caught using their mobile phones while driving over a two-day period last week.Chief Superintendent David Sheahan The Garda Chief Superintendent’s office has confirmed that 87 drivers in Kerry were caught using their mobile phone while driving, in the clampdown on Tuesday March 22 and Wednesday March 23. The blitz was part of a county wide strategy, under Garda Chief Superintendent for Kerry David Sheahan, in an effort to reduce the number of serious accidents and deaths on Kerry’s roads.
