Over-60s Killarney bound for ‘Have a Go’ event

Motorcycling, surfing, abseiling and mountain biking are just some of the activities that will be enjoyed by older people in Killarney this June. FREE PIC***FREE PIC*** Give it a Go is a brand new event taking place in Killarney this June. Organised by Active Retirement Ireland and The Gleneagle Hotel, it takes place from June 13th to 17th. Launcing the event at The Eagle's Nest, Killarney National Park, was Nancy Hegarty, Secretary Southern Region,  Participants will have the chance to try out a huge range of activities  including kayaking,  motorcycling, surfing, abseiling, Tai Chi and Pilates as well as attending seminars on subjects including social media, online dating, mindfulness and nutrition. And after a lengthy day of action and adventure, there will be live entertainment every evening, including performances by Brendan Shine, Red Hurley, The Ronan Collins Showband Show and HIYA Entertainment.Photo:Valerie O'Sullivan/No Repro Fee/FREE PIC... The Give It A Go event, organised by Active Retirement Ireland, invites people to try their hand at a range of activities and maybe take it up as a hobby. It takes place at the Gleneagle Hotel from June 13th and 16th. There will also be seminars and discussions on subjects as varied as social media and craft beer tasting, as well as entertainment for all participants. The event is open to over 60s from all over the country.
