Over 60 mini businesses compete in annual student enterprise awards

Over 60 mini-businesses set up by over 200 second level students took part in the county final of the Kerry County Enterprise Boards’ Annual Student Enterprise Awards. kerry county enterprise board The Presentation Secondary School, Tralee won the most Enterprising School Award for its work in fostering entrepreneurship within the school and was presented with the Cantillon Perpetual Cup. The winner of the Senior Category was Christian Steinborn of Castleisland Community College with an innovative and practical cabling storage tool for Christmas lights and farmyard cabling. The winner of the Intermediate Category was MAD candles from Killorglin Community College. This team developed a range of designer candles. Junior level winners were a group from Pobail Scoil Corca Dhuibhne with the Dingle Shopping guide which promotes shopping in the town. .
