Over 10,000 patients dealt with by SouthDoc over Christmas

The out-of-hours GP service, SouthDoc dealt with over 10,500 patients in the week between Christmas and the New Year. south_doc_logo That’s a 26% increase in the number of people treated by the service in 2014. SouthDoc is a GP cooperative which operates during hours when GP surgeries are not open. On Christmas Day alone, SouthDoc received over 800 individual phonecalls from members of the public which also represents an increase on the figures for the previous year.
