Orange weather warning withdrawn but heavy surface flooding in parts of Kerry

  flooding Met Eireann’s Orange weather warning which had been in place has now been withdrawn for Kerry. There are a number of road closures and spot flooding around the county following heavy rain falls over night. Kerry County Council’s severe weather assessment team met twice this morning and they have also been liaising with the Gardai and emergency services. Ger O Brien from Kerry County Council has an update on the roads affected. [audio_player src=””] Water has been restored to the Killorglin area this morning following a burst water main on the Board of Works road, its hoped to have water restored to all remaining customers by this evening. Kerry Airport says all its flights are operating to schedule at this time, as is the Shannon Ferries service from Tarbert to Killimer.
