OPW progressing coastal repair works near Killorglin

The Office of Public Works says it is making progress in relation to the provision of flood defences in an area near Killorglin. simon harris Minister Simon Harris says the refurbishment of approximately one kilometre of a coastal bank at Garrane, Killorglin is included in the OPW programme of works 2015. Responding to a Dáil question from Deputy Brendan Griffin, the minister said the bank, which collapsed during the storms of early 2014, will be refurbished. The OPW has had initial discussions with the affected landowners with a view to commencing works over the summer.
