One month adjournment granted in dangerous driving case

The D.P.P has requested a one month adjournment because of what it described as the complicating issues in the case of a thirty year old man charged with dangerous driving causing death. Sean O Leary with an address at 58 Laurel Court Tralee is charged with the alleged offence which took place at Tonevane Cross, two miles outside of Tralee on the 21st of July 2003. In making the application for a one month adjournment The State informed the court that there was complicating issues of fact and law in the case.D.P.P, Ed O Sullivan told Judge Terence Finn that they had to seek the opinion of counsel and DNA testing had to be carried out. He asked the court for another month to put the evidence together. Judge Finn granted the states application. The alleged incident occurred on the 21st of July 2003 and resulted in the deaths of 35 year old Carol Muir from Castlegregory and 50 year old Christopher Walsh from Dungarvan Co Waterford. The case is to come before the court again in March 30th.
