Two nuns who died at Inch beach last night have been named as Sr. Imelda Carew and Sr. Paula Buckley – both from Dublin. A statement has been issued this lunchtime by their order – the Presentation Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The two woman – who were 67 and 70 – were on holiday in Kerry. Postmortems will be carried out later. The Congregational Leader of the Presentation Sisters Union, Sr. Mary Deane, has described the two women as a source of inspiration and blessing to many people and says they are all stunned and shocked by the tragedy.
