No timeframe is yet available for the redevelopment of a two-and-a-half acre site in Tralee. In February, Kerry Group donated the former Denny plant site to the people of the town. The meat processing plant closed over five years ago. Cllr Thomas McEllistrim asked council management how much the clean-up of the site would cost. Manager of the Tralee Municipal District Charlie O’Sullivan said they are carrying out an assessment of the site including buildings and are looking for suggestions on how to use the area. He said the project is at an early stage.
