Safety works at a notorious junction in Camp have begun.
Kerry County Council has started works to improve sight distance at the junction on the R560 Camp to Castlegregory Road.
The junction provides access to the local hall and crèche, astro turf, sports field, burial ground, playground and Church of Ireland, as well as a number of residences.
Concerns about poor visibility had been expressed to Kerry Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin and Tralee Councillor Jim Finucane by users of the junction.
Kerry County Council estimated works would cost €9,000 – Cllr Finucane has subsequently allocated 100% of the cost.
