Chaplin FestivalThe village of Waterville is hoping to break the Guinness world record for the largest gathering of Charlie Chaplin Lookalikes today.

It’s all part of the Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival which honours the pioneering spirit of the great film maker and advocate for social change.

The festival now in its 6th year includes a range of events including screenings, workshops and Chaplin themed street entertainment.

The Chaplin lookalikes will gather at 12.30 today at the community centre in Waterville and then make their way to Fossett’s Big Top which is at the center of the village, where they will attempt to break the record of 250 which was set in Los Angeles.
