« BackViews sought on McDonald’s expansion which requires development plan contravention

McDonalds logoPeople’s views are being sought on plans by McDonald’s to double the size of its Tralee restaurant, which would require a material contravention of the local development plan.

The company has applied to Kerry County Council for planning permission for a new two-storey restaurant at Rathass, Tralee, and to demolish the existing one.

The proposed development, however, is partly located in an area zoned Landmark Gateway, so it would materially contravene the Tralee Town Development Plan.

The plans can be viewed at the council offices, and submissions or observations can be made on it up until the 20th of September.
