University Hospital Kerry needs five additional staff nurses for its Emergency Department according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.

University Hospital Kerry2Yesterday, the HSE said 144 nursing posts in Emergency Departments across the country will be filled in the coming months; the vacancies were identified at the end of 2015.

The INMO has identified a need for five additional staff nurses and five health care assistants in the Emergency Department in Kerry following an initiative with management at the facility.

Industrial Relations Officer with the INMO Michael Dineen says the department also needs to fill two consultant posts.
