A UK holiday resort company has been asked to consider Kerry as its second Irish resort.

Deputy Griffin says he believes that Kerry presents a massive opportunity for Center Parcs.

He says the announcement by Centre Parcs in relation to the proposed investment in Longford is a major boost to the entire midlands region and he hopes that the project can be brought to fruition.

Deputy Griffin thinks there is similar, if not more potential for a sister Center Parcs resort in Kerry.

The Fine Gael Deputy has offered to meet representatives of Center Parcs to discuss the matter further and put them in contact with the relevant state agency and local authority representatives.
