32-year old Brian O’Sullivan with an address at Coolies, Muckross, Killarney and 36-year-old Marcus O’Rourke of Rathanane, Kilcummin are both charged with four offences in connection with the robbery on the 3rd of August.
Brian O’Sullivan and Marcus O’Rourke are each charged with the robbery of cash to the value of approximately €5,000 from Waterville post mistress Lisa O’Reilly Foran; ramming a garda car; having a firearm – or imitation firearm – with intent to commit an offence; and damage to garda property.

At a previous sitting of the Tralee District Court, solicitor representing both men, Nuala Liston, made applications for bail, but they were refused.

The two men appeared at Tralee District Court again today; there were no further bail applications today but Ms Liston said there was no consent to remand.

Sergeant Miriam Mulhall Nolan told the court it’ll be at least three to four weeks before the books of evidence will be prepared and sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Judge James O’Connor remanded the men in custody to appear again on the 21st of September.
