Two gardaí were injured during the garda hunt for suspects linked to the armed robbery of Waterville Post Office this morning.
Superintendent Flor Murphy has confirmed that the two gardaí suffered minor injuries when their vehicle was rammed while they were pursuing the suspects.
He says the officers are understandably ‘shaken.’
The three male suspects made their escape in a navy Mazda 6 following the armed robbery which took place at around 11.30am.
They drove some 30 miles to Beaufort where they abandoned their car.
Two of the suspects have been arrested in the Beaufort area while a third is believed to be in Ardraw, Beafort.
