« BackTributes paid to Castleisland man who died in Thomond Bridge tragedy

A Castleisland man who tragically died when the structure he was working in collapsed into the River Shannon has been described as “a lovely fellow, always a giver, never a taker.’

TJ O’Herlihy a stonemason from Castleisland and Bryan Whelan from Broadford died while working on Thomond Bridge in Limerick on Saturday. Investigations are continuing into the incident in which a third man survived. A candlelit vigil organised by Limerick woman Maureen Joyce and Breda Davis to show support for the families involved in the tragedy will take place near Thomond Bridge at 8.30pm this Saturday.
