priority stampsA Tralee shop owner says the Government’s rounding system is impacting on their profit margins.

Brendan Sweeney runs the Quickpick shop on Castle Street.

He says the rounding policy will impact on their sales of both postage stamps and plastic bags.

An Post is proposing to increase the cost of a stamp to 72 cent in the coming weeks however rounding would mean the shopkeeper should charge 70 cent.
