The event will take place at Ballymullen in Tralee at 3pm and will involve a full ecumenical dedication ceremony of remembrance celebrated by Fr Sean Hanafin and Reverend Phillis Jones.
There will be a full colour party from the defence forces which will parade from Ballymullen Barracks and will be followed by the Royal Munster Fusilier Association.
During the ceremony there will be a roll call of the names of the 226 Tralee people who died in WW1.
Mayor of Kerry Pat McCarthy, Cllr Sam Locke, and president of the Royal Munster Fusilier Association Oliver Griffin will participate in the wreath laying ceremony.
The project has been supported by Kerry County Council.
