« BackTralee man charged with second attempted robbery in a week

A Tralee man has appeared before a second special sitting of Tralee District Court this week charged with another attempted robbery.

22 year old Martin O’Sullivan with an address at Market Street, Tralee was charged with attempted robbery at Hussey’s shop on Princes Street.

The shopkeeper working in Hussey’s grocery shop was subjected to a terrifying ordeal yesterday morning when a man armed with an iron bar entered the premises demanding cash. The raider left empty-handed after the female shop assistant refused to hand over any money. He was arrested minutes later by Gardaí.

Mr O’Sullivan is charged with the attempted robbery while he was out on bail charged with another attempted robbery in Tralee on Friday night.

A man entered Spar in Oakpark at 10.15pm, Friday night, armed with a knife and demanded money. Mr O’Sullivan was brought before a special sitting of the district court on Saturday where he was remanded on bail.

At another special sitting yesterday, Mr O’Sullivan was charged with attempted robbery at Hussey’s on Princes Street and remanded in custody to appear before Tralee District Court on Thursday.
