A 26-year-old Tralee man who assaulted another man in an ‘unprovoked and violent’ attack has been remanded in custody to appear before the District Court again in July.
Father-of-one Stephan O’Shea of 185 Shanakill Tralee is accused of the offence at Rock Street, Tralee on December 27th, 2012.
The court heard the victim was knocked to the ground and was bloodied and unconscious when found by gardaí and unable to identify his assailant.
Barrister Richard Liston said the defence had an eyewitness who would give a different view and say the attack was not unprovoked.
Judge James O’Connor adjourned the matter to July 7th.
