« BackTourism Ireland CEO says ‘Friends’ star visit to Kerry is good news for tourism

Actress Courteney Cox has tweeted following filming in Kerry.

The 54-year-old Friends star was taking part in a Bear Grylls’ survival skills reality TV show called Running Wild alongside ski racer Lindsey Vonn for two days of tasks.

Ms Cox – who came to Kerry with her Irish partner Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol – tweeted news of her visit to her 979,000 followers saying ‘It’s already raining’.

The pair stayed in Killarney and filmed in the West Kerry area in Cloghane, Minard, Macha Na Bó and Loch a Duin.

She’s the second member of the Friends cast to film in Kerry in recent times following Matt Le Blanc’s visit the Top Gear team in May.

Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland said this positive exposure and celebrity endorsement for Kerry and the South West is all good news for tourism.
