It’s been revealed Top Gear’s recent trip to Kerry cost the taxpayer next to nothing.
According to figures obtained by RTÉ under the Freedom of Information, Gardaí paid ten hours overtime associated with the shoot which took place in April – plus €64 in subsistence allowances.
The FOI request also indicates Kerry County Council were asked to remove a boulder from the roadside at Ladies’ View – for which the production company were not charged.
Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc filmed scenes for the BBC show in Kenmare, Killarney and in Dingle.
The new series airs on BBC Two on Sunday May 29th.
