« BackTop children’s author tells stories at mid-Kerry Mass Rock

Pupils at a national school in mid-Kerry got to hear from one of the country’s best-known children’s authors today as part of a national story-telling programme.

Eoin Colfer – best known for the Artemis Fowl series of books and the current Laureate na n-Óg – met with pupils from St Joseph’s school in Castlemaine to talk about the power of literature and story-telling.

The setting was the Mass Rock at Killacloghane Wood between Milltown and Castlemaine.

Eoin Colfer says there is a great interest in children’s literature at present:
