« BackThree days of racing begins in Dingle

They have been running for longer than anyone can remember but one punter has a longer record than most at Dingle Races.

Timmy Kelliher from Milltown, who turned 90 on St Patrick’s Day, will head to the races for his 76th time today.

The former winning jockey attended his first races as a boy of 14 with his father.

His brother Stevie, who passed away last January, devoted a lifetime to the organising committee.

Committee member and local publican James Curran says the venue has changed over the years to its permanent home in Ballintaggart.
