« BackTesco staff are getting closer to strike action

The Mandate trade union, which represents workers in Tesco Ireland, believes that staff are getting closer to strike action.

TescoIt follows plans by the super market chain to cut wages of long serving staff that have been there before 1996.

Tesco has opened up a voluntary redundancy scheme and deferred reductions in pay and conditions until May 16th.

The union is due to meet with the Workplace Relations Commission and with the company on Monday.
