Temperatures in Valentia Observatory so far this month are almost three degrees higher than normal.
According to Met Eireann up to today the average temperature this month is 10.6 degrees.
This is compared to the average temperature of 7.8 degrees which would be more normal for the south Kerry weather station.
The higher temperatures are due to a southerly airstream over the country.
