« BackTaxi driver calls for development of apprenticeship programme

Taxi drivers entering the industry should undertake an apprenticeship with an experienced driver to gain knowledge of the area.

That’s according to Terry Boyle of Windmill Cabs who says the taxi driving industry currently only requires a minimum knowledge test.


Mr Boyle says an apprenticeship system would not only equip new taxi driver with knowledge of the routes – it would also enable them to learn more about the industry itself:
