The story of Tralee soldier Charles Conway, who lost his life fighting in the Battle of the Somme, is set to feature on television this evening.
The teenager died in the World War I battle which lasted 141 days and saw thousands of Irish soldiers lose their lives, 100 years ago today.
His story was uncovered by Tralee student Lesley McCarthy through the ‘My Adopted Soldier Programme’.
