A stable government is needed to bring through hard decisions.

That’s according to acting Minister for the Diaspora, Jimmy Deenihan of Fine Gael who’s been responding to comments made by independent TD Michael Healy-Rae.

Junior Minister Deenihan, who lost his seat in last month’s election, says you need a stable government with a majority to enact difficult decisions – and this currently seems unlikely:
