Littering in Tralee, following last night’s St Patrick’s celebrations, has been condemned locally.
President of Tralee Chamber Alliance John Drummey described the littering in The Square as “shameful behaviour on our national holiday”.
He thanked Kerry County Council for their efforts in cleaning up the mess but added that, in his opinion the perpetrators had “no pride in Tralee”.
Cllr Terry O’Brien of Tralee Tidy Towns said more education is urgently needed to tackle the problem.
